February 4th-8th 2008 workshop on ?Project Procurement and Effective Implementation? held at Mombasa Beach Hotel
The workshop targeted senior and mid-level Procurement Managers and practitioners in the public sector, Financial Controllers, Project Managers/Coordinators.
By the end of this seminar, participants were able to:-
- Appreciate the significance of developing relevant procurement strategies
- Formulate a good contract as an essential input to successful project implementation
- Effectively monitor and evaluate project implementation in a more objective manner
- Acquire skills and knowledge for managing a project procurement contract with a view to minimizing or avoiding disputes and cost overrun.
- Embrace implementation challenges and chart way forward for overcoming them.
- Identify socio-economic advantages of a successful project.
